During COVID 19 pandemic phase , nationwide lockdown for 21 days has brought everything to a standstill except for essential services. Withdrawal symptoms may include difficulty in sleeping, tremors, increased sweating, palpitations, headache, nausea, vomiting , poor appetite, anxiety, irritability, restlessness and severe craving i.e. an irresistible urge to consume alcohol. In severe cases it leads to delirium means disoriented confusion seizures and increasing risk of death It is important that mental health and de-addiction services are available to these people so that they do not suffer due to lockdown.
